About Me

About me

I'm a storyteller obsessed with narratives, tales, and personal stories. I’m also an experienced researcher, a cultural theorist and intercultural communicator.

 

For the past four years, I’ve been designing stories as a UX writer, and for the past 2 I’ve been storytelling with Circular IQ (a Dutch-based startup) as a Content Designer. 

 

Prior to falling in love with UX writing and content design, I wrote essays and journalistic features to renowned publications in Brazil and Europe, covering a wide range of genres.​ I’ve created stories for brands like Circular IQ, Google, Microsoft, Körber Digital, Layer, Insider, and more.

 

As a content designer, I'm a storyteller that translates usability and meaning to technology. I'm user-obsessed! I help brands gain fluency in many languages: that of the users, that of the designers, that of the developers and that of the products. I’m a keen collaborator ​and my goal is to create authentic and consistent voices across products, teams, and users.

I'm an Emoji addict, have a soft spot for lower case, and prefer pencils over pens.

 

I also hold a doctorate in English/Cultural Studies from King's College London.​

Think of me as a writer who wears many hats! I'm a storyteller rendering meaning and usability to our digital tools and solutions. Working with the product team, I streamline our internal stories and (re)design them in a multitude of forms to communicate our products, our ethos and our mission within the sustainability and circular economy sectors. From visual content to paid media, from UX copy to creative writing, I nurture digital dialogues through storytelling.

I contributed stories on current women's affairs and consumer-related topics, authoring some of the website’s most popular articles in Brazil. My pieces sparkled hundreds of interactions and nurtured smart discussions on popular topics of contemporary culture.

2017 - 2018

I liaised with teams from 18 regions to create digital marketing tech content for global brands such as Estée Lauder Companies, Singapore Airlines, Uniqlo, Puma, New Balance, and more. I authored their most successful content marketing campaign, announcing their Series B investment by Sequoia Capital.

I wrote and edited UX copy and carried out UX research alongside the design and product teams.

As an intercultural communicator, I nurtured and moderated conversations between departments and hosted writing workshops, supporting internal communications.

P.h.D., English/Cultural Studies, King's College London

My doctoral research looked at past materialities - domestic spaces and personal objects, especially shoes and sartorial ornaments - through the lens of a legal discourse. While looking at materialities from the past, I developed the core skills to approach the agency of things today (further developing a theory of possession) and to understand how organic and inorganic beings, today, connect in an intimate and inextricable way.

2009 / 2011

MA, Comparative History, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro

My MA research focused on the discourses on female sexuality (re)constructed in/by English romances. Whilst I looked at past discourses, I designed a new theoretical shift to understand female sexuality and gender discourses that are relevant to our contemporary theories of gender and sexuality.
